New York EIP Scholarship

Looking for help paying for your child care training in New York? The Educational Incentive Program (EIP) Scholarship can help you cover the cost of Aspire-approved professional development, including the CDA Credential™ and other required OCFS trainings. Eligible early childhood educators can receive up to $2,500 annually for credential programs and $700 for other training.

💡 What Is the EIP Scholarship?

The EIP Scholarship supports New York State early childhood professionals by reimbursing training costs for a wide range of Aspire-approved training programs. This includes everything from required OCFS trainings to credentials like the CDA and other specialty certifications.

You can apply for multiple scholarships within the same calendar year, up to the maximum annual award amount. But funding is limited—so apply early!

👩‍🏫 Who Can Apply?

To qualify for the EIP Scholarship, you must:

✅ Be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Resident Alien authorized to work in the United States.

✅ Be a paid employee or direct supervisor of a paid employee in a NYS OCFS or NYC DOHMH registered or licensed child care program.

✅ Be actively caring for children or supervising child care staff who count in the adult/child ratio.

💸 What Does the Scholarship Cover?

✔️ Up to $2,500 per year for credentialed or Aspire-approved trainings, including CDA training.

✔️ Up to $700 per year for non-credential Aspire-approved trainings.

✔️ Awards are based on fund availability, and training must begin and end within the calendar year.
