CDA Área temática 2: Promoviendo el desarrollo físico e intelectual de los niños

Este curso de 10 horas está diseñado para dotar a los proveedores de cuidado infantil con los conocimientos y habilidades para fomentar el desarrollo físico e intelectual de los niños. Los participantes explorarán áreas esenciales como el lenguaje y la alfabetización, las matemáticas, las ciencias y las artes. Al comprender la importancia del juego activo, el conocimiento de los textos impresos y el desarrollo cognitivo, los proveedores aprenderán a crear entornos estimulantes que promuevan el aprendizaje y el crecimiento. Además, el curso abordará estrategias para incorporar la música, el lenguaje de señas y la tecnología en las rutinas diarias para mejorar el desarrollo integral de los niños. Esta capacitación permitirá a los proveedores de cuidado infantil crear experiencias enriquecedoras que establezcan una base sólida para el aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida.

B. Objectives / Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this training, the learner will be able to:
  1. Define print knowledge as it relates to a preschool classroom.
  2. Describe how sign language can be used as a means of communication with infants
  3. Identify ways to support children’s development using the arts.
  4. Describe and Demonstrate arts integration strategies to develop verbal and written language.
  5. Demostrar la importancia de usar diversas estrategias para desarrollar las habilidades lingüísticas y de comunicación.
  6. Identify the importance of language and literacy development in early childhood.
  7. Identificar estrategias para apoyar el desarrollo del lenguaje y la alfabetización en la primera infancia.
  8. Recognize the importance of music in both child development and curriculum.
  9. Identificar estrategias para fomentar la indagación científica en el aula de bebés y niños pequeños
  10. Demonstrate an understanding of cognitive development as it relates to science in infants and toddlers.
  11. Dé ejemplos de actividades musicales apropiadas para el desarrollo de los niños.
  12. Describe strategies to incorporate mathematics into teaching practices.
  13. Demostrar comprensión del conocimiento general de los niños que respalda las habilidades matemáticas emergentes

Criteria to earn CEUs:
Certificates are awarded when the following criteria have been met by the learner:
  1. Class has been paid in full
  2. All material has been reviewed
  3. All review questions and final test have been completed with a passing score of 80% or higher.
Learning Assessment Method:
Learners will be assessed through questions after every section is completed. Learners will not be allowed to proceed to the next section of the training until all questions have been answered correctly. Learners will be presented with a final test composed of true/false and multiple choice questions. Upon successful completion of the training, learners will receive their certificate by email.
Learning Methodology:
Online material will be presented in the form of slides, accompanied with speech. Videos will be used to demonstrate ideas and concepts. Charts and tables will be used for illustration.
Logistics/Required Technology:
A stable internet connection is required for the completion of this course. Users are highly encouraged to take their online course on Google Chrome on either a laptop or desktop computer. Speakers and/or headphones are also required to hear speech.
