First Aid & CPR: RSV - in-person

First Aid & CPR: RSV - $105

ChildCareEd is committed to ensuring the #safety and well-being of infants and adults through its First Aid and CPR AED Certification Course. The course covers techniques for responding to a variety of emergency situations, including administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), using automated external defibrillators (AEDs), controlling bleeding, and addressing injuries and illnesses until professional medical help arrives. Participants learn through a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, enabling them to confidently and effectively respond to emergencies and potentially save lives. This comprehensive program, taught by an approved HSI trainer, equips individuals with essential life-saving skills while ensuring they meet OSHA requirements and industry standards.

Course Format:

  • Blended Learning: The course is divided into two parts – an online portion and a skills verification session with a live trainer.
  • Online Portion: Students complete the first part of the course online, which can be done from home or office. The online link for this portion is provided separately. Upon completion, you will be issued a certificate that you will need to present on the day of the skills verification session.
  • Skills Verification: After completing the online portion, students need to attend a virtual skills verification session with a live trainer.
  • The student has 30 days to complete the course before it expires
  • Students will receive a manikan and equipment 12 days after completing the online training.

Skills Verification:

  • A loaner manikin is mailed to your location and you will log in to a live Zoom session with an HSI trainer where you will practice your skills.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a 2-year HSI First Aid & CPR AED certification card. This certification will demonstrate that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide first aid, CPR, and use an AED effectively.

RSV is a revolutionary new way to get full certification training in CPR, AED, and First Aid from a live, authorized HSI Instructor. RSV is fully remote so you can take training anywhere—from the comfort of your home or anywhere you have an internet connection.

With RSV you’ll get blended training in CPR, AED, or First Aid. Take the online portion first, and then schedule your live session where you’ll get real-time feedback and guidance from an authorized HSI instructor.

After passing the skills assessment, your certification card in CPR, AED, or First Aid training will be sent immediately to your email address.

  • Receive your delivery of student materials, including a manikin to use and return upon completion

RSV is known to be prohibited in certain regulated occupations in California and New York State where skill practice and evaluation must take place in person. HSI strongly recommends gaining verified consent from the appropriate regulatory or licensing authority prior to registering for RSV.

Idaho Residents:

Idaho Department of Health and Welfare has authorized IdahoSTARS to accept hybrid pediatric CPR and first aid in addition to fully in-person courses. What qualifies for a hybrid pediatric CPR and pediatric first aid course? A portion of the course is done self-paced online, and students complete in-person hands-on sessions and testing for courses requiring pediatric CPR and other skills.

Please provide your full mailing address so that HSI can mail you your manikin to use during the skill verification portion of this training.

Certificates will not be released until manikins have been returned to HSI.
