All ChildCareEd online training courses may be used by providers in Rhode Island for annual professional development hours for those who work in child care centers, family childcare homes, and group family child care homes. Providers can submit a training verification form to The Center for Early Learning Professionals to gain credit for trainings.
Teacher and Group Family Childcare Provider qualifications:
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential

Annual training
All program leadership, family child care providers, and classroom staff are required to complete twenty-four (24) hours of Professional Development training per year.
Four (4) of the required hours of training must be in one (1) of the following topics related to health and safety requirements:

- Plus: Unlimited online training plus online CDA training courses
- Instructor-Led: Unlimited online training, plus all CDA online training courses, and one Virtual Class each month led by a trained Educational Specialist
