All of H&H Child Care Training Center’s courses are accepted by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in accordance with their continuing education requirement for all childcare providers. H&H is accredited by the International Association for Education and Training (IACET) and has on staff a Registered Trainer with the Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System (TECPDS) (Trainer ID# 89912).
The following are required preservice trainings in the state of Texas:
H&H is approved to offer required preservice training's such as:
24-Hour Texas Pre-Service: includes the requirements necessary to provide care for children of all ages, including those younger than 24 months.
Texas Primary Caregiver Qualification: Seventy-two clock hours of training in child development and 30 clock hours in management.
Texas Director Credential: 150 clock hours of child development and 150 clock hours of management.
Transportation Safety: includes the requirements necessary to transport children whose chronological or developmental age is younger than nine years old.
1-Hour Abuse and Neglect Training: designed to fulfill the one hour of child abuse and neglect training required for childcare providers in Texas.
CDA: can be used as a substitute for preservice training.
Annual training for all providers must be relevant to the age of the children being cared for and include a minimum of 20% instructor-led training. H&H offers both self-instruction courses and instructor-led courses.
H&H is approved to offer required annual training's such as:
30-Hour Texas Home Provider Annual (instructor-led and online: training is a combination of 18 hours of self-paced online learning and 6 hours of virtual classroom learning)
30-Hour Texas Director Annual (online: 30 hours of self-paced online learning, or instructor-led and online: training is a combination of 24 hours of self-paced online learning and 6 hours of virtual classroom learning.)
24-Hour Texas Teacher Annual (online: 24 hours of self-paced online learning, or instructor-led and online: training is a combination of 18 hours of self-paced online learning and 6 hours of virtual classroom learning.
