Texas Director Credential & Director Training Requirements

ChildCareEd proudly offers an Officially Recognized Texas Director Credential, formally recognized by HHSC.

HHSC reviewed ChildCareEd’s Director Credential program and determined that it substantially complies with the criteria in the Texas Administrative Code (26 TAC §§745.9101–745.9161) governing approved Day Care Administrator Credential Programs.

What this means for Texas directors:
Programs that must employ a credentialed director can choose ChildCareEd’s Texas Director Credential knowing it:

  • Meets HHSC-recognized administrator credential criteria
  • Satisfies Texas Minimum Standards for director qualifications
