Our online courses are accepted as ongoing professional development for California early childhood professionals and support training expectations for licensed programs statewide.

Important Note:
California requires certain pre-service trainings that cannot be completed through ChildCareEd, including:
ChildCareEd supports all additional pre-service knowledge areas and ongoing professional development, but does not replace EMSA or CDSS-required training.
California requires all licensed child care providers to complete 15 hours of annual training each year.
ChildCareEd offers Registry-aligned courses across all California Early Childhood Educator Competency areas, allowing you to complete your required professional development online at your own pace.
