All ChildCareEd courses are accepted by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services for hours of ongoing training for those who work in child care facilities, nursery schools, and family child care programs. 

All ChildCareEd courses are also accepted for the 90 contact hours of in-service training needed to renew a Professional Teacher Certificate or the 45 contact hours of in-service training to renew a Certified Educational Technician. 

Orientation training required for all child care providers.

• Health and Safety Orientation Training provided free through the Maine Roads to Quality Registry.

• Under 13 Children: 12 hours
• Over 13 Children: 30 hours

Family Child Care Provider

• Instructor-Led: Unlimited online training, plus all CDA online training courses, and one Virtual Class each month led by a trained Educational Specialist
