ChildCareEd offers high-quality professional development for early childhood professionals in Colorado. Our training courses are accepted by the Colorado Office of Early Childhood and may be used toward the 15 training hours required for those who work in child care centers, family child care homes, and school-age centers. This includes directors, teachers, staff, volunteers, licensees, providers, program leaders, and aides.
ChildCareEd is an IACET accredited organization and provides CEUs for all online self-paced training courses. We offer both online self-paced and Virtual Instructor-Led training options to meet the needs of busy early educators.
Colorado requires ongoing professional development that connects directly to one or more key competency areas. ChildCareEd offers a broad library of courses that align with those priorities.
All staff who work with children must complete a minimum of fifteen (15) clock hours of ongoing professional development each year. At least three (3) clock hours per year must focus on social-emotional development.
Preservice Training Note:
Preservice required training courses are offered free of charge through the Colorado Shines Professional Development Information System (PDIS) at www.coloradoshinespdis.com.
