ChildCareEd is an Approved Training Sponsoring Agency with the Arizona Early Childhood Workforce Registry. ChildCareEd courses may be used for initial and annual training for those who work in child care group homes and child care centers. This includes teacher-caregivers, assistant teacher-caregivers, teacher-caregiver-aides, facility directors, facility director designees, and certificate holders.

  • Each staff member working in a child care center must obtain 18 hours of annual training

Child Care Group Home Certificate Holder and Provider Training Requirements:

  • Has completed at least 60 hours of training in child growth and development, nutrition, psychology, early childhood education, or management of a child care business.

Child Care Group Home Provider Annual Training Requirements:

  • Each staff member working in a child care group home must obtain 12 hours of annual training

Arizona Early Childhood Workforce Registry:

ChildCareEd approved courses can be found on the Arizona Early Childhood Workforce Registry. Users may purchase approved courses through the ChildCareEd website. For Registry credit, please add your Registry ID number to your ChildCareEd account. Attendance data will be uploaded weekly to the Registry. Please allow a minimum of 5 business days for your completed course to appear on your Registry account. If you attend professional development that you found outside of the Registry and receive a certificate of completion,
you can still add it to your training log in the registry.

  • Instructor-Led: Unlimited online training, plus all CDA online training courses, and one Virtual Class each month led by a trained Educational Specialist
