Who Needs Nevada Child Care Training?

Nevada requires training for all individuals working in licensed child care facilities.

Nevada Annual Training Requirements

Nevada requires 24 hours of training every 12-month licensing period for all caregivers in licensed child care facilities.

Annual Requirements Include:

24 total hours every year
12 of the 24 hours must align with the age group the provider serves (SB 189 requirement)
2+ hours must be Wellness Training annually (nutrition, childhood obesity, physical activity) — per Nevada’s Wellness content guidelines
All training must be approved by The Nevada Registry
