40-Hour Director’s Course

To qualify as a Child Care Learning Center Director, Georgia requires completion of a 40-Hour Director's Course.

ChildCareEd’s online 40-Hour Director's Course meets DECAL’s standards for directors responsible for day-to-day operations, staffing, and curriculum oversight in licensed centers.

Annual Training for Georgia Child Care Providers

Georgia requires 10 hours of annual training each calendar year (January–December) for all child care professionals, including teachers, assistants, and directors..

All teaching staff working in licensed child care learning centers and family child care learning homes are required to obtain two (2) annual Early Language and Literacy training clock hours.
