Building Bridges for Dual Language Learners helps child care providers better understand and support children who are developing skills in more than one language. This course covers the definition of “Dual Language Learner,” the strengths and challenges DLLs may experience, practical language-building activities across developmental domains, family communication strategies, and ways to create culturally responsive environments that celebrate language diversity. By applying these strategies, providers can promote inclusion, strengthen family partnerships, and support DLLs’ confidence, communication, and overall development.
This training is built exclusively for Texas Workforce Solutions.
