ChildCareEd is a Training Sponsor Organization with the Wisconsin Registry. Courses are accepted by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) toward the continuing education training requirements and in-service training requirements for those who work in group child care centers, family child care centers and day camps. This includes DCF training for administrators, center directors, child care teachers, employees, assistant child care teachers, providers, emergency back-up providers, counselors, volunteers, substitutes, and food service personnel. ChildCareEd courses are approved Tier Training through the Wisconsin Professional Development Approval System.
Training requirements for a Director of a center licensed to care for 50 or fewer children:
Child Care Teacher in a Group Child Care training requirements:
Child care Providers in a Family Child Care Center:
Annual training requirements for all child care providers:
- 25 hours of continuing education annually.
Wisconson Registry:
ChildCareEd approved courses can be found on the Wisconsin Registry. Users may purchase approved courses through the ChildCareEd website. For Registry credit, please add your Registry ID number to your ChildCareEd account. Attendance data will be uploaded weekly to the Registry. Please allow a minimum of 5 business days for your completed course to appear on your Registry account.

Subscription Services
With Subscription Services, you can purchase training hours at a low one-time cost. There are three tiers to choose from, depending on your needs:
- Basic: Unlimited online training
- Plus: Unlimited online training plus online CDA training courses
- Instructor-Led: Unlimited online training, plus all CDA online training courses, and one Virtual Class each month led by a trained Educational Specialist
