Making Families Welcome This is a 2-hour course that will cover ways that teachers can welcome families in their classroom. This training is best for teachers of children ages 3 to 8 years old and those that are considered to be beginning and intermediate skill levels.

Learning Outcome:
By the completion of this training, you will be able to:

1) Identify the important role parents and/or family members play in their child’s education.
2) Identify ways to find out what families want for their children from the child care program.
3) Compare and contrast different families’ expectations.
4) Identify comfortable ways to include families in your classroom.
5) Select a variety of ways for families to be represented in your classroom when they are not physically present.
