Building strong relationships with families is essential for understanding and supporting every child’s unique strengths, needs, and development. This course equips child care providers with strategies to conduct family assessments, plan effective conferences, and respond to family concerns with empathy and cultural sensitivity. Participants will explore guidance techniques for fostering self-regulation and positive social-emotional development, while also examining the influence of culture, genetics, parenting styles, and community on a child’s growth. By completing this training, providers will gain confidence in partnering with families, addressing challenges, and creating inclusive environments that support each child’s success.
