Childhood obesity is a growing concern with lasting impacts on children’s health and development. This course helps child care providers understand the definition of obesity in children, including current statistics and effective methods for measurement. Participants will explore the underlying causes and contributing factors of obesity, such as lifestyle, environmental, and societal influences. The course emphasizes the critical role of educators in preventing obesity and provides actionable strategies to promote healthy habits in early childhood settings. By completing this training, child care providers will be better equipped to foster healthier environments, support families, and help children achieve long-term well-being.
