Course description:
Lunch is running late, and the children have finished their small-group activity—what do you do next? Effective transitions help teachers manage the classroom, reduce waiting time, and keep children engaged as they move from one activity to another.
This 3-hour workshop is designed for beginning and intermediate teachers of preschool-age children. Participants will learn how to select developmentally appropriate transition activities, establish predictable routines, and use clear directions to support positive behavior and smoother classroom management. Teachers will also explore ways to turn everyday transitions into meaningful teaching and learning opportunities.
