Course description:

To meet state and federal requirements of the Child Care and Development Block Grant
(CCDBG), all child care providers must successfully complete a basic health and safety training. In Maryland, this requirement extends to all staff, substitutes, and adults responsible for the care and safety of children in a licensed child care program.

This course has been approved by MSDE Early Childhood Division approval number CKO-380. Subject Area 3 HSN

Twelve required topics were categorized under four main content areas. An additional topic was
developed at the request of the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) to address

● Breastfeeding
● First Aid
● Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
● Medication Administration
● Allergies and Asthma


 


Para cumplir con los requisitos estatales y federales de Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG), todos los proveedores de cuidado infantil deben completar con éxito una capacitación básica en salud y seguridad.
