This training equips healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate funding and financial assistance opportunities that support education, training, and career advancement. Participants will learn to define the major types of funding available to healthcare professionals, including scholarships, grants, loans, and stipends, and understand how these tools differ in purpose, eligibility, and repayment expectations. The session will also distinguish between private and government funding sources, highlighting their key characteristics and how they align with different professional goals.

A dedicated portion of the training focuses on scholarship applications, offering practical guidance on identifying eligible programs, preparing competitive applications, and understanding common requirements such as service commitments and renewal criteria. Participants will be introduced to HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) resources, including scholarship and loan repayment programs, workforce development initiatives, and online tools that help users search, track, and manage funding opportunities.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to confidently use reliable platforms—such as HRSA and other vetted resources—to support ongoing funding searches and professional development planning, ensuring they can make informed financial decisions throughout their healthcare careers.
