Early childhood educators play an important role in recognizing signs of potential developmental delays in children.
Through an understanding of typical and atypical development, educators can identify when children are not meenting
important milestones. Providers should have an understanding of the referral process in order to assist families in the
IFSP or IEP process. In this 2-hour training, participants will:
● Demonstrate an understanding of typical and atypical development.
● Demonstrate understanding of early intervention and its importance.
No prerequisites are required for the completion of this course.
