Spanish Language Support Available for Select Onsite and Zoom Instructor-Led Group Trainings

image in article Spanish Language Support Available for Select Onsite and Zoom Instructor-Led Group TrainingsIf your team includes Spanish-speaking staff, training should feel clear, welcoming, and easy to follow. ChildCareEd offers Spanish language support for select instructor-led group trainings so more early childhood professionals can join, learn, and grow with confidence.

For select onsite and Zoom group trainings, this support includes training materials translated into Spanish and a Spanish-speaking trainer or support staff member during the session. These added supports can help staff follow the training more easily and take part with confidence.

Please note that this service is available for virtual and on-site group trainings only and includes an additional fee.

What types of group trainings can include Spanish support?

Spanish language support is available for select instructor-led group trainings. That means it is not offered for every class, but it may be available for certain trainings your program schedules as a group. Based on the materials you shared, examples of featured trainings include:

and many more!

What can your program expect when you request Spanish support?

The process is simple and practical. Programs requesting this service will receive:

  • translated training materials in Spanish
  • a Spanish-speaking trainer or support staff member during the session

This can help staff stay engaged during the training instead of trying to translate everything on their own. It can also help directors support mixed-language teams in a more respectful way. This service is for virtual and on-site group trainings only and has an additional fee, so it is smart to ask about availability early when planning your session.

How do you request an onsite training with Spanish language support?

The request process is simple and designed to help programs choose what works best for their team.

First, the person making the request should create a ChildCareEd account if they do not already have one. After logging in, they should go to Group Admin and click Onsite Training Request.

There, they will see a list of courses that are available for onsite training and Zoom training. They can choose:

  • the course
  • the preferred date
  • the preferred time
  • whether the training will be onsite or Zoom

This gives directors and administrators a clear way to request training that fits their schedule and staff needs.

What should you write in the notes section?

The notes section is very helpful, and it is a smart place to add extra details.

In the Additional Note section, the person making the request can write:

  • extra dates that may also work
  • extra times that may also work
  • that they want Spanish language support

This is important because the first date selected may not always be available. When extra dates are included, the ChildCareEd team can check with trainers to see whether another option will work. That can save time and help the training get scheduled faster.

This section is also the best place to clearly say that Spanish language support is needed. A short note such as “Spanish language support requested for this onsite training” can help make the request clear from the start. #ProfessionalDevelopment #ChildCareStaff #BilingualSupport

Is there a minimum group size for making a request?

Yes. A minimum of 10 participants or more is required to make a request.

This minimum helps make group training possible and allows the ChildCareEd team to plan the session with the trainer. Before submitting the form, it is a good idea to confirm that at least 10 staff members will attend.

If a center has fewer than 10 people, it may still be helpful to wait until more staff can join or check whether another training format could be a better fit such as our online self paced classes.

What happens with the deposit?

When the request is submitted, a $50 deposit will be charged to the card on file.

Here is how that works:

  • A $50 deposit is charged when the request is submitted.
  • If ChildCareEd is unable to accommodate the request, the deposit will be refunded.
  • If ChildCareEd can fulfill the request, the deposit becomes non-refundable.

This is important to understand before submitting the request. The deposit helps hold the request while availability is reviewed and is applied to the total if the training is confirmed. It also supports the scheduling process for group trainings.

Why should programs add backup dates?

Adding backup dates is one of the best ways to improve the chance of getting the training scheduled.

Sometimes a trainer may not be available on the first date requested. When a center includes two or three extra choices in the notes, the team has more flexibility. That means there may be less back-and-forth and a faster answer.

A simple note could say:

  • First choice: June 10
  • Second choice: June 12
  • Third choice: June 17
  • Spanish language support requested

That kind of note is clear, helpful, and easy to review.

Why does Spanish language support matter for onsite training?

Onsite training already gives teams the benefit of learning together in their own setting. When Spanish language support is added, the training can become even more useful.

This support can help staff:

  • better understand key ideas
  • ask questions with more confidence
  • take part in discussion
  • connect training topics to daily classroom work

For directors and administrators, that can mean stronger staff engagement and better follow-through after the training is done.

When teams understand the training clearly, they are more likely to use what they learned in the classroom. That is good for staff, children, and families.

What is the next step?

If your program is ready to support staff with a more inclusive training experience, this is a great time to get started.

Create an account if needed, go to Group Admin, and click Onsite Training Request. Review the current list of courses available for onsite and Zoom training, choose your preferred time and date, and be sure to add extra dates in the notes. Most importantly, write that you are requesting Spanish language support.

With the right planning, your team can access training that is clear, supportive, and easier to follow. That simple step can open the door to stronger learning and better outcomes for everyone.
