This training supports Florida child care providers in understanding credentialing requirements and making informed professional development decisions. Participants will review the essential components of the national Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential and define the meaning of professionalism in child care, including ethical practice, accountability, and continuous learning.

The training introduces Florida’s childcare credentialing pathways and highlights their key features, including education-based, experience-based, and training-based options. Participants will learn how to select an appropriate Florida credentialing pathway based on their education, experience, and career goals. The session also connects credentialing decisions to workforce support programs such as T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® and INCENTIVE$ Florida, emphasizing strategic planning and long-term professional growth.
