Child care providers need clear, consistent germ-control practices to protect children, staff, and families while reducing the spread of illness in group care settings. This course covers how to identify, prevent, and respond to communicable diseases, reviews recommended medical and immunization schedules for children birth through age three, and guides participants in developing hygiene-focused policies and procedures, including appropriate care strategies for infants and toddlers with chronic health issues. Providers will also learn how to use key health, safety, and nutrition resources (CPR, 911, CDC, WIC, Poison Control) to respond confidently and keep their classrooms healthier.
