Georgia Training Requirements

H&H Child Care Training has all you need to fulfill your training requirements!!

The following are required trainings for childcare providers in the state of Georgia.

All providers:

• 10-Hour Basic Health and Safety. H&H Child Care Training Center (ChildCareEd)’s 10-hour Basic Health and Safety training includes the requirements necessary to fulfill preservice training for all providers.
• 10 hours of training annually 

Teachers:

• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. H&H offers the CDA credential as well as the CDA renewal in all CDA areas. 

Family Child Care Learning Home applicants: 

• 10-Hour FCCLH Pre-Service Training. H&H (ChildCareEd)’s FCCLH Pre-Service Course includes the requirements necessary to fulfill preservice training for Family Child Care Learning Home applicants.

Directors requirements:

• 40-Hour Director's Course. H&H (ChildCareEd)’s 40-Hour Director’s Course includes the requirements necessary to fulfill preservice training for Directors.

• Food Preparation (4 hours). H&H (ChildCareEd)’s Food Preparation and Nutrition includes the requirements necessary for Directors and the person primarily responsible for food preparation.
• Transportation Safety (2 hours). H&H’s Transportation Safety course includes the requirements necessary for Directors and all persons involved in transporting children. Must be renewed every two (2) years from the date of completion.

All of H&H Child Care Training Center (ChildCareEd)’s courses are approved by Georgia’s Bright from the Start to be used toward preservice and annual training hours. H&H is accredited by the International Association for Education and Training (IACET) and offers CEUs for all online courses.
