Become a Child Care Personnel

Required Training:

• DCF 40-Hour Introductory Training (Parts I & II) — through the state portal
• One-time 5-hour Early Literacy and Language training
• CPR & First Aid certification
• 10 hours of annual in-service training (per fiscal year)

CDA Credentials:
Taking ChildCareEd's 120-hour CDA training is a recognized pathway to earning the Florida Child Care Staff Credential because Florida accepts the National CDA. You submit your CDA in your DCF Child Care Training Account through the Credential Application Portal to have your Florida Staff Credential verified.
