Description
This printable Safe Helpers Activity Checklist helps teachers prepare and observe a child-centered lesson about identifying trusted adults and asking for help. The checklist covers visual schedules, familiar photos or helper cards, a child’s Safe People Hand, and practice with situations such as a hurt knee, getting lost, or a fire alarm. Use it before and during the activity, accepting pointing, repeating, signing, or other nonverbal responses rather than requiring spoken answers. It is especially useful for inclusive safety teaching with children who benefit from visual supports and flexible communication.
