Texas Workforce Solutions Capital Area

Texas Workforce Solutions Capital Area

ChildCareEd is proud to support child care providers in Travis County through professional development training opportunities connected to Workforce Solutions Capital Area and BakerRipley.

If your child care program is part of Workforce Solutions Capital Area Child Care Services, your staff may be able to access free, instructor-led training designed to strengthen classroom practices, support professional growth, and improve the quality of care for children.

What Is This Training Opportunity?

Workforce Solutions Capital Area sponsors professional development trainings throughout the year to support child care providers in delivering high-quality care. Through this opportunity, eligible child care programs can participate in training sessions led by approved training providers, including ChildCareEd.

These trainings are designed to help teachers, directors, and early childhood staff build skills in important areas such as supervision, communication, inclusion, observation, child development, classroom transitions, and positive classroom practices.

Who Is This For?

This opportunity is designed for child care programs in Travis County that are connected with Workforce Solutions Capital Area Child Care Services.

Programs that are not currently part of Workforce Solutions Capital Area Child Care Services are encouraged to learn more about becoming a contracted provider. Becoming part of the Workforce Solutions child care network may help programs access valuable supports, including child care scholarship participation, staff training opportunities, quality improvement resources, and other provider supports.

Why Should Programs Participate?

Participating in Workforce Solutions Capital Area Child Care Services can open the door to meaningful support for your program, your staff, and the families you serve.

Benefits may include:

  • Access to free professional development training opportunities
  • Support for staff growth and classroom quality
  • Opportunities to serve families receiving child care scholarships
  • Connection to quality improvement resources
  • Training topics that support child safety, development, supervision, inclusion, and professionalism
  • A stronger pathway for building and retaining a well-trained child care team

How Does Registration Work?

Training registration is managed through Workforce Solutions Capital Area or its designated process.

Programs and participants should follow the registration instructions provided by Workforce Solutions Capital Area. For virtual trainings, participants may receive a Zoom registration link and must complete the registration process in order to attend.

Training seats may be limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Certificates and Attendance

Training certificates are issued through Workforce Solutions Capital Area’s process, which may include completion of attendance requirements and an evaluation.

Participants should carefully follow all training instructions, including completing any required evaluation or QR code process at the end of the session, in order to receive credit.

Not Part of Workforce Solutions Yet?

If your program is located in Austin/Travis County and is not currently a contracted provider with Workforce Solutions Capital Area Child Care Services, this is a great time to learn more.

Becoming a contracted provider may allow your program to serve families receiving child care scholarships and connect your staff with free professional development opportunities.

Programs should contact Workforce Solutions Capital Area Child Care Services to learn more about provider eligibility, orientation, and the steps to become contracted.

Ready to Take Advantage of Free Training?

If your program is already connected with Workforce Solutions Capital Area Child Care Services, watch for upcoming training announcements and registration information.

If your program is not yet connected, consider taking the next step to become part of the Workforce Solutions child care network so your staff can benefit from free training opportunities and additional provider support.
