Minnesota CDA Fee & Training Reimbursement

The Minnesota CDA Reimbursement Program helps early educators pay for the CDA training and most of the CDA initial or renewal application fee. Don’t let cost stand in your way—this grant makes earning or renewing your CDA easier than ever!

🌟 What Is the Minnesota CDA Reimbursement Program?

This grant supports #early_childhood_educators in Minnesota by reimbursing expenses related to the nationally recognized Child Development Associate® (CDA) Credential™—whether you are applying for the first time or renewing.

👩‍🏫 Who Can Apply?

To qualify for reimbursement, you must:

✅ Hold a current Develop Individual Membership in Minnesota.
✅ Be employed or volunteering at a licensed or license-exempt early childhood program when you earn or renew your CDA.
✅ Have employment verified on your Develop Learning Record.

💸 What Does the Grant Cover?

CDA Training Reimbursement: Up to $600 for initial training (at $5/hour). Up to $225 for renewal training.
CDA Application Fee Support: $300 toward your initial CDA application. $75 toward your renewal application (You pay the remaining balance.)

📝 Important Notes:

Your CDA training must appear as verified on your Develop CDA Learning Record under the approved training section. You must receive your initial or renewal CDA certificate within one year of the application round’s start.

Reimbursement is not available if:

Another grant already paid for your CDA-related expenses
Your employer covers your CDA training or application as a staff benefit
