Teachers and administrators must know the basics in order to create an effective school age classroom: effective classroom design and thorough lesson plans that accommodate the various needs of children. Participants will learn the importance of creating a daily schedule, lesson planning, working with multi-age groups, accommodations, and classroom design in the following outcomes:
● Identify the key elements of environmental design in a school-age program.
● Demonstrate an understanding of how to develop and implement a daily schedule.
● List the key elements of a lesson plan.
