One day one students will meet for a 3 hour training on"Let's Talk: Skills for Effective Communication"(3 HRS PROF)
This 3 hour training is designed to develop and strengthen communication skills in child care professionals working in the field of child care. Those skills can be used to communicate with parents, co-workers and the public. Key strategies and techniques will be introduced to help strengthen providers ability to communicate and listen. AND
"Shifting Gears to Positive Discipline
This 2 hr training course helps teachers find positive ways to deal with children's negative behaviors on the classroom. The training introduces the idea that shifting gears to positive discipline is a bumpy yet worthwhile journey and encourages teachers to individualize their responses to children.
Core of Knowledge Content Area: 2 Hours Child Development

On Day Two: Students will meet from 10 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. for training. Topics covered Art From the Heart: Supporting Emotional and Social Development through Art
This is a 3 hour training that shows the value of art and how it expands beyond theories of color and design. In this fun hands on workshop, participants will review and discuss self esteem concepts, and create open ended art projects that can be used to build children self esteem. Content Area: 3 Hours Curriculum AND, Beautiful Junk: Recycled Materials(CURR 2hrs)
This is a 2-hour training designed to help teachers understand how everyday items can be used by children to create an environment that supports their imagination, problem solving, and exploration
