All of H&H Child Care Training Center’s courses are accepted by Oregon’s Early Learning Division Office of Child Care. H&H is accredited by the International Association for Education and Training (IACET) and offers CEUs for all online courses. Courses may be used towards obtaining Oregon Registry Steps 1-7 as well as annual training requirements.

The following are required preservice trainings in the state of Oregon:

  • First Aid and CPR for infants and toddlers (all providers)
  • Safe Sleep (providers working with infants)
  • Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety​ (all providers)
  • Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect (all providers)

Oregon Registry Steps

  • Step 1: 12 hours in any Core Knowledge Categories
  • Step 2: 20 hours in any Core Knowledge Categories
  • Step 3: 35 hours (4 in Human Growth & Development and 4 in an additional Core Knowledge Categories)
  • Step 4: 50 hours (4 in Human Growth & Development, 4 in Understanding & Guiding Behavior, and 4 in two additional Core Knowledge Categories)
  • Step 5: 70 hours (6 in Human Growth & Development, 6 in Understanding & Guiding Behavior, and 6 in four additional Core Knowledge Categories)
  • Step 6: 90 hours (8 in Human Growth & Development, 8 in Understanding & Guiding Behavior, and 8 in six additional Core Knowledge Categories)
  • Step 7: Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential: H&H Child Care Training Center offers the CDA credential as well as the CDA renewal in all CDA areas. 

The following are required annual training requirements in Oregon:

  • Health and Safety training (all providers)
  • Family Child Care Providers: 6 hours every 2 years 
  • Directors: 15 hours annually
  • Teachers: 15 hours annually
