How to Become a Child Care Home Staff Member in Michigan?

The Michigan Child Care Home Staff Member Career Program gives you all the required training to work as a qualified staff member in a licensed Michigan home child care program. This training path is ideal for those entering the child care field or expanding their career while working under the supervision of a licensed provider.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check.
- Training must be completed before independently caring for children​.
- Complete 5 clock hours of annual continued training (excluding CPR/First Aid).
