What Is the Oklahoma Certificate of Achievement and Stipend Program?

The Certificate of Achievement and Stipend Program was created to recognize and reward early childhood professionals who participate in ongoing professional #development. By completing approved training hours in designated areas of concentration, participants can demonstrate their commitment to improving #early-learning environments and supporting children’s development.

Participants who complete the program requirements may qualify for a $600 stipend, helping acknowledge their time and effort in strengthening their professional skills.

Eligibility Requirements

To participate in the program, early childhood professionals must meet several eligibility criteria, including:

  • Being employed in a DHS-licensed child care program with a valid K8 number
  • Working at least 30 hours per week in an eligible position
  • Being employed at their current facility for at least six consecutive months
  • Maintaining an active account in the Oklahoma Professional Development Registry
  • Completing 30 hours of approved professional development in a selected area of concentration

Eligible positions include teachers, assistant teachers, master teachers, family child care providers, directors, assistant directors, and other qualified roles within early childhood programs.
