Looking to become Director qualified in Georgia? The following are training requirements for Directors.
- Before obtaining an initial license, the director of a Child Care Learning Center must complete a Bright from the Start approved 40-hour director training course.
- Director and the person primarily responsible for food preparation are required to obtain a minimum of four (4) clock hours of training in food nutrition planning, preparation, serving, proper dishwashing, and food storage.
- Directors and all persons involved in transporting children must complete 2 hours training prior to transporting children.
- All staff must complete 10 State-approved hours of Health & Safety Orientation training within the first 90 days of employment.
