Initial / Preservice Training

All initial training must be completed within 90 days of hire.

 

Annual Training

All caregivers working in licensed child care facilities, regardless of type (Center-Based, Group-Home, and Family Child Care), are required to complete 24 hours of training annually. Twelve of these hours must be specific to the age group served by the facility (per SB189). Initial training hours are included in the 24 hours required annually.

Annual training must include at least 2 hours of training in Health, Obesity, and/or Wellness.
