Provider Requirement Levels
Maryland Child Care Credential A voluntary tiered system (Levels 1–4+). You move up levels by completing "Core of Knowledge" training and college credits.
- Steps to achieve: Complete required training hours in specific Core of Knowledge areas, then submit an application to MSDE.
Reimbursable Training Information through the State
Credentialing Bonus Cash awards (ranging from $200 to $1,000+) paid annually to providers who achieve Level 2 or higher.
Child Care Career and Professional Development Fund (CCCPDF)
- Description: Covers 100% of tuition, fees, and books for a degree in ECE at participating colleges.
