How to Become a Preschool Lead Caregiver in a Michigan Child Care Center?
Do you have experience working with preschool-aged children, love planning creative lessons, and want to step into a lead teaching role? Then you're ready for the next step.
The Michigan Preschool Lead Caregiver Career Program helps you qualify as a certified Lead Caregiver in licensed child care centers serving preschool-age children and includes 9 CEUs in Early Childhood Education. This program combines state-mandated training and curriculum development with hands-on skills for leading classrooms and supervising staff.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 19 years old.
- Hold a high school diploma or GED.
- Have 3,840 hours of documented experience working with children.
- Must pass a background check.
- Complete 16 hours of annual professional development.
