Happy Massachusetts Day from H&H Child Care Training!

  

H&H Child Care Training wishes everyone an early Happy Massachusetts Day! This historic day recognizes Massachusetts as the second of the origianal thirteen colonies in New England to join the Union to create a new country. Traditionallhy celebrated by residents by consuming cranberry-rich foods and treats, Massachusetts Day is particularly celebrated because the state is where the Mayflower, carrying the Pilgrims from Massachusetts, landed on North American shores.

Throughout American history, Massachusetts has recorded many particular firsts, especially in the field of education. The lauded Harvard University, the first on American soil, was founded in 1636 after a vote by the Great and General Court of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. In addition, a few years after in 1639 the first free American public school, named the Mather School, was founded in Boston, and still educates children even today! The first computer was developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1928.

Massachusetts has continually championed the need for education for children and young adults, all the way from post-secondary education down to the earliest years of life in child care and early childhood. The Covid-19 pandemic has taken a hit not only on families, but also child care programs in employing highly-qualified, motivated professionals who can confidently lead in the early childhood classroom in either a center or family child care setting. This is where H&H Child Care Training steps in.

H&H Child Care Training offers the coursework required for early childhood professionals to apply for their Child Development Associate (CDA) in Infant and Toddler, Preschool, or Family Child Care; we also offer the required 45 clock hours (4.5 CEUs) for the CDA credential renewal. Because H&H Child Care Training is accreditated under IACET, child care teachers and providers can take care for annual training requirements take any of our courses and use the certificates towards the required for 5 to 20 hours (0.5 - 2.0 CEUs) of annual training requirements.
