Did you know that reading the same book to children repeatedly is good?! Repetitive reading offers many benefits to young children. When children hear the same book, they become familiar with the words and can work on their memorization skills. Children can become aware of patterns, rhythm, and rhyming text when they repeatedly listen to the same story. Children can also begin reading comprehension skills as they learn about the story and its plot, characters, and setting through repeated experiences with the same text. So plan on pulling these books out, again and again, all through the season of fall to support children’s language and literacy skills.

Now all you need are some fun and fabulous fall activities to support children’s learning and growth.
