Become a Child Care Staff Member

Required Health and Safety Trainings:

To receive CCDF subsidy payments, Missouri child care providers must complete the following health and safety training topics:

• Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases   
• Prevention of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and Use of Safe Sleep Practices  
• Administration of Medicine   
• Prevention of and response to allergic reactions   
• Building and Physical Premises Safety   
• Shaken Baby Syndrome   
• Responding to Emergencies   
• Handling and Storage of Hazardous Materials  
• Appropriate Precautions in the Transportation of Children  
• Abuse and Neglect: Signs and Reporting  

Safe Sleep Training   must be completed:

• Within 30 days of hire
• Every three (3) years thereafter

First Aid and CPR training is also required
