Provider Requirement Levels

Iowa Early Care and Education Credential Providers are assigned a Level (1–6) based on their education. You need this level to qualify for certain state grants.

  • Steps to achieve: Apply via the Iowa DHS professional development system with your transcripts.

Reimbursable Training Information through the State

  • T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Iowa: Administered by the Iowa AEYC. Scholarships for CDA, Associate, and Bachelor degrees.
  • WAGE$ Iowa: A salary supplement program for providers who earn higher education credits/degrees.
