Gateways to Opportunity Credentials Illinois has a widely recognized system of credentials (ECE Level 1–6, Infant Toddler, and Illinois Director).
- Steps to achieve: Join the Gateways Registry, complete the required training (Level 1 is training-based, higher levels require college credits), and submit an application.
Reimbursable Training Information through the State
- Gateways to Opportunity Scholarship: Pays a percentage of tuition and fees for ECE degrees, certificates, and CDA credentials based on your income.
