The diversity piece was very interesting and informative. However, as a home daycare with a religious background, we cannot affirm all ideas. I personally accept everyone in my program, however, I cannot affirm other religions or certain behaviors. Would you include how to address those things in a sensitive manner that shows that one can respect their different thoughts and ideas without affirming them in a way that is not offensive? If it is the parents who are not as open-minded as this video suggests we should be, and take offense to our opinions or suggest that we are working from, for example, a white supremecists bias, or cultural bias because they will not affirm our culture, what would you suggest the best way to address their concerns without betraying our own belief system.
