Description
This adaptable teacher’s guide lays out two or three 25–40 minute sessions for learners ages 6–12, moving from handling familiar objects to identifying and comparing solid figures. Children practise naming 3D shapes, describing faces, curved surfaces, edges and vertices, sorting by properties, and building models. An extension introduces how flat nets fold into solids, supporting spatial reasoning, classification and problem-solving. Use the flexible sequence for hands-on geometry lessons and adjust tasks and timing to learners’ needs.
