Halloween Haunted House STEM Challenge: Plan, Build, and Test

This printable “Plan, Build, and Test” mat guides children through designing a not-so-spooky haunted house, with space to draw an initial idea and think about which parts should be tall, strong, wide, or able to hold something. Children can sketch, write, or dictate their thinking, then record changes after testing their construction. Use it for a hands-on Halloween engineering activity that builds planning, problem-solving, and early STEM skills.
