• Must be able to provide a safe, nurturing, environment in our program. Giving care and supervision to a group of children while also giving individual supervision and care where needed.
• Must meet all safety and health requirements as directed by Memphis Community School and State Licensing guidelines which includes but is not limited to:
• Meets the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of each child.
• Observe, document, and report to parents the children's needs and keep updated anecdotal records.
• Maintain daily open communication with parents and keep parents up to date with school events and scheduling changes.
• Under the supervision of the Director, plan, implement, and evaluate the curriculum in accordance with the purpose and philosophy of the Early Childhood Program, and the program's competency goals.
• Maintain confidentiality with staff and parents.
• Report any suspected abuse.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and creative learning environment.
• Clean, organize, and straighten up toys.
•Attend staff meetings and online training hours (24 hours per year).
• Help keep accurate records such as attendance, accident reports, and daily activity sheets.
• Assume an equal share of general clean-up responsibilities according to the cleaning chart.
• Lesson plans/newsletters.
