🎓 What Is the Alabama TEACH CDA Scholarship?
The TEACH Early Childhood Alabama Scholarship helps child care professionals get their Child Development Associate (#CDA) credential by covering most of the required application fee through the Council for Professional Recognition. You’ll also receive a $200 bonus after earning your credential. 💵

👩🏫 Who Can Apply?
To qualify for the Alabama #TEACH CDA Scholarship, you must:
- ✅ Work at least 30 hours per week in a DHR-licensed child care program that agrees to sponsor you.
- ✅ Stay with your sponsoring program for one year after earning your CDA.
- ✅ Meet the income limits:
- $15/hour or less for child care teachers and family child care providers
- $18/hour or less for child care center directors
- ✅ Have a high school diploma or GED
- ✅ Complete 120 CDA training hours and 480 clock hours of work experience prior to applying for your CDA assessment.

💰 What Does the Grant Cover?
