What Is the Alaska SEED CDA Award?
The Alaska SEED CDA Application and Renewal Award is a funding opportunity that pays the fee for earning or renewing your #Child_Development_Associate (CDA) credential through the Council for Professional Recognition. Whether you are applying for the first time or renewing, this grant can save you money and help you move forward in your early childhood career.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a current member of the #Alaska_SEED Registry.
- Work as a paid employee at a licensed or approved child care facility in Alaska.
- Have a high school diploma or GED. (This is required by the CDA Council.)
- Have finished your 120 hours of CDA training and 480 clock hours before scheduling your CDA assessment.
- Not have your CDA application or renewal fee already paid in full by another financial aid source.
