Continue being the child care home provider every parent wants to care for their child. This 30-hour, blended* training is designed specifically to help you meet your annual requirements toward continuing as a high-quality home provider!

If taken individually, these trainings are valued at $246, yet as a single solution, it’s available for you for just $99!!

This training provides 30 clock hours of annual training, in a blended* format, as required by Rule §746.1311 of the Texas Administrative Code.

This training includes the requirements necessary to provide care for children of all ages, including those younger than 24 months of age.

*This blended training includes 24 hours of self-paced online learning courses and 6 hours of virtual classroom learning. Regulation §746.1311 (j) indicates that, “No more than 80% of the required annual training hours may come from self-instructional training.” Which means that at least 6 hours of the 30 hour requirement should be completed in a facilitated, instructor-led class, or another approved format.

The remaining 6 hours will be granted at the completion of two of our 3 hour instructor-led trainings.   6. Identify strategies to assist children with food allergies/feeding concerns.
  7. Identify strategies for integrating culture and diversity into an infant and toddler program
  8. Identify ways to help parents and infants/toddlers handle separation and attachment.
  9. Identify ways to examine child behavior to prepare for guidance.
  10. Define social emotional development in young children
  11. Identify the importance of professional development for child care professionals and strategies to make meaningful choices.
  12. Define the meaning of professionalism in child care.
  13. Recognize the needs of individualized learning in family child care.
  14. Identify factors that may influence learning for a child in the family child care environment.

  28. Demonstrate understanding of the ADA and how it applies to family child care homes.
  29. Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of establishing a business plan.
  30. Identify the aspects of establishing a family child care business.
  31. Demonstrate an understanding of the benefits of marketing your family child care business.
  32. Demonstrate understanding of an appropriate family childcare curriculum
  33. Demonstrate an understanding of content areas and how they are related to child development.
  34. Demonstrate understanding of strategies that utilize good time management practices for teachers and child care providers.
  35. Describe positive discipline strategies to use in the classroom.
  36. Demonstrate the benefits of mixed-age grouping in early childhood education.
  37. Demonstrate appropriate/effective responses as they relate to a variety of typical child care scenarios.
Criteria to earn CEUs:
Certificates are awarded when the following criteria have been met by the learner:
  1. Class has been paid in full
  2. All material has been reviewed
  3. All review questions and final test have been completed with a passing score of 80% or higher.
Learning Assessment Method:
Learners will be assessed through questions after every section is completed. Learners will not be allowed to proceed to the next section of the training until all questions have been answered correctly. Learners will be presented with a final test composed of true/false and multiple choice questions. Upon successful completion of the training, learners will receive their certificate by email.

Learning Methodology:
Online material will be presented in the form of slides, accompanied with speech. Videos will be used to demonstrate ideas and concepts. Charts and tables will be used for illustration.

Logistics/Required Technology:
A stable internet connection is required for the completion of this course. Users are highly encouraged to take their online course on Google Chrome on either a laptop or desktop computer. Speakers and/or headphones are also required to hear speech.
