Provider Requirement Levels

  • Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC) The state's recognized equivalent to the National CDA, required for every VPK instructor and highly recommended for lead teachers.

    • Steps to achieve: Complete a 120-hour training program (ChildCareEd offers this), compile a professional portfolio, and pass an onsite observation.

Reimbursable Training Information through the State

  • T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Florida: Administered by the Children's Forum. Covers 80-90% of tuition and books for CDA, Director Credential, and degrees.
  • Early Learning Florida: Offers many free or low-cost online courses that meet in-service requirements.

Training we do not offer

  • 40-Hour Introductory Training Exams: While we may offer prep or similar content, the official courses and Competency Exams are administered through the DCF training system.
